Welcome to my little virtual
market place! Everything you see on my website, etsy shop (or anywhere I
sell my designs) have all been handcrafted by me. I am a lover of all
things shiny and pretty, mixing old with new, using lot's of color,
various types of metals and trinkets, gemstones and even my own handmade
lampwork glass beads.
I'm a mom, wife, artist, designer, knitter, painter, writer and bookworm
who loves to sew, decorate, work on home improvement projects, play board
games, take lot's of pictures, scrapbook, shop, spend time with family and
friends and blog about
what I'm working on or whatever is on my mind.
I live and create out of my home studio in Michigan. I am married to
a wonderful and supportive husband and we have a the cutest and funniest
4 yr. old boy that keeps us laughing and lovin' life. Our household
also includes a menagerie of critters.
I play with fire and pretty baubles and beads for a living, I think
that's pretty darn cool!
I started creating jewelry from a very young age but it
wasn't until my early 20's that decided to make a career of it and take it
on full time. I started out with my
Bridal Collection
and seeking out unique gemstones to create designs for my
fashion jewelry collection. Soon my obsession with lampwork glass beads
began.
I was buying other artists glass beads and using them in my jewelry
designs but I quickly found
myself on a mission to learn everything there was to know about making
glass beads. With the use of the internet and books, I bought
everything I needed to get started and
have never looked back. I am self taught in all my artful and crafty adventures and am constantly working to
improve my skills and learn new
techniques.
My goal is to create unique, fun, one of a kind
pieces using a wide variety of findings and mediums.
Each and ever day I feel completely blessed to be able to create and share
my art and still be able to stay home and be the best mom I can be to my son.
I have to thank each and every one of my customers, friends and family for
their constant support and allowing me to do what I love.
When I'm not beading, making jewelry or being crafty I follow my second
calling, writing. I run an online book group called
THE BOOK MASTERS and I
am also a Reviewer and Review Manager for
Fictionaddiction.net.
I've been published in many literary magazines and publications on the
internet and in print.
